Funny you should say that! I had a Cadbury chocolate trifle today! In fact I purchased a pack of three tubs! I've been buying Cadbury products for years,I personally think they are the best chocolate makers!I for one shall still purchase their products! Tell your Nan not to worry, people have short memories,it will soon be forgotten!

Yes, Cadbury's have recalled all the bars that could have been affected by salmonella outbreak (Milk Tray was not on the list so it was probably made in a different factory) and all the bad publicity has probably saw them tightening up their cleaning procedures.
It's still the tastiest brand of chocolate out there. Cadbury's probably will suffer a brief lull in takings but it won't take long for profits to pick up again and the news of salmonella is forgotten about.

Unfortunatly British chocolate is mainly vegetable fat. Why not eat a mixture of margerine and coco, with some preservatives, and a polishing compound to tumble them to a shiny finnish?
Try a bitter chocolate, 70% to 90% ! coco solids. Its a dry taste, dosnt "melt" in the car, and is a refined "adult" taste, and a real coco hit! You wont want to eat too much, as its intense rather than sickly, and satisfies the chocolate craving, with smaller amounts. On an endorphine level, the feel good factor of Coco (the stuff IN chocolate) its "chemically" intense, with no "crap" to stabalise and emulsify all that vegetable fat.
The dark, Cadbury's chocolate, called Bournville, was named after the district in Birmingham, where the factory started, and still is.
Its named after an "indusrial" area of Birmingham! Nice!
Bournville is actually quite a nice area, not industrialised, apart from the cadburys factory! But not Known for its coco plantations.

I don't have a problem eating Milk Tray or any Cadburys products. I you stopped eating and drinking everything there was a warning or some sort of scare about then there'd be nothing left to eat or drink!
