no - you prob think you're ending up that way are but you're always going to be different. you get characteristics from both parents so you end a bit of a mixture. I often think i'm like my dad (organised, sober) but then realise i'm kind of like my mum as well (forgetful, absentminded)!

No, it is not inevitable. Smart people look at their parents and decide whether their parents were good role models or bad. If they were "good", you will undoubtedly follow their lead. If not, you won't. Too many people unfortunately don't bother looking at their parents objectively and continue to do the same "bad" things their parents did. Most parents are neither all good nor all bad. Keep the good and get rid of the bad.

That's a question i try not to think about!
i love my ma an pa but blimey, i don't want to turn into them, its so scary, i can see it happening and i don't like it one little bit!

i hope not, my dad isn't the next roll model in the world (alcoholic, drug addict). Though my mum is the best thing in the world and i would love to become like her!

haha sometimes yeah...i find myself saying things my mum used to say when i was younger, it is inevitable as they are such a formative influence.
