Macavity (non-singing) is the show's only real villain. The character is a literary allusion to the Sherlock Holmes character Professor Moriarty. He executes the kidnapping of Old Deuteronomy in the second act and also attempts to abduct Demeter.

meooooooooooooow..... you would ask a question like that...I saw the movie about 20 times and I can't remember the name either......but I have an excuse. i'm 55!!! you can go to ask.com and type in Cats the musical and it will pull up a few sites you can go to. Some will give you, who played which character and also some have the words to a few of the songs. The name was a weird one...
