I recently had to reformat my entire hard-drive due to issues with Norton, and now I'm looking for a good new program. I'll take any suggestions; suites, or several single programs working together. Obviously, please don't reccomend Norton.

As of right now, I'm using Avast.

None. Just use spyware programs such as Spysweeper in addition to some free ones like Adaware, spybot, and Microsoft Antispyware. Just avoid downloading unknown programs from the internet and your email and you should be fine. Antivirus programs really slow your computer down. I never use them. If you know which sites to avoid and be smart, viruses shouldn't pose a major problem.

AVG Free is the best. I put in a hard drive that had 2 viruses on it and it detected them and got rid of them with no problem. It runs everyday at 8 am and it keeps my computer and every computer I work on running free of viruses.

I would reccomend looking for the Windows Defender system.
It warns you at anytime something bad comes up and will perform scans everyday at a set time.

hi, i recommand you to try firefox. firefox can tell you which url is blocked and you can pop the url again..

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

download firefox for free:
