I believe it all started when Israel was created, in 1948 I think, because the jews who went from Europe to the state that was just created occuppied land that belonged to Palestine. So there's been a conflict ever since with this nation - that doesn't have a place where to live, and some of the Palestian live in Lebanon -.

It first started with the kidnapping of a soldier by hamas. I guess Hezbollah wanting to show their one upmanship , kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers AND fired rockets into Israel. You keep poking the big bad giant with a sharp stick and you are eventually going to tick him off real good.

this SPECIFIC conflict started when Lebanese soldiers crossed into Israel and kidnapped 2 of their soldiers....
they have had ongoing conflict as long as anyone can remember...hence, the reason this has escalated as it has
