Go to Yahoo! Groups and join some of those.
Yahoo! Personals if you want to start dating.
Yahoo! 360 is an online community where you can meet people who share common interests.
But really, you should probably get away from your computer and engage in the world around you. Do the things you enjoy doing, be open, and you will meet people.

The Yahoo! Members Directory is a good place to search for people that you might like to meet. Downoad the Yahoo! Messenger to Instant Message them anytime they are online.

Easy start to tell storys than talk to them about their intrests and tell them yours. then when they say got to go or you have been talking for awhile or they say it was a nice talk tell them your e-mail adress so you can talk more and ask for theirs. hope it helped
