I'm 21 and I just got married in March. My husband and I want to have kids within the next year. The problem is that I have irregular periods.I have about 4-5 a year. I 've been doing research on the internet and I have found out that it's common in some women for this to happen. I just want to know what other people think. Do you think I will be able to have kids and should I consult a doctor? Please give me your feed back.

Also I'm not overweight. I weigh 95 lbs. Could it be that I'm underweight?

At least four periods a year is enough to keep you healthy. Yes, you will be able to have children if your periods are irregular it just might take a little longer or it might not... There are options available to you for help but you need to discuss it with a doctor.

Congratulations on your recent marriage.

Good luck!

No it isn't any longer known yet that does no longer recommend it is uncommon. i'd honestly seek for suggestion from a health care professional because it may also recommend that you're infertile. I hav a pal with abnormal cycles yet she waited too lengthy to inform a health care professional about it. She miscarried numerous cases earlier ever seeing an OB/GYN about it. depending pn no matter when you're taking drugs, that would want to be what's effecting it.

You probably can still have kids, but it would be very wise for you to see an obgyn just to make sure everything is ok. If you want to have kids you want to be ovulating (getting your period) every month so that you have more of a chance to conceive. If you aren't getting periods regularly then you aren't ovulating every month like you should be.
