Aside: Did you ever think that the US has a working "SDI" system that shot those missiles down? A laser from a satellite would be undetectable unless you knew what to look for.
If any Rogue Nation wants missiles they can get much more reliable missiles from other enemies of America. China and France to name just two.

No, North Korea fires missiles once every three years or so. Always over Japan into the sea. They do it just to make the rest of the world mad and gain some temporary respect. The timing is just a coincidence.

They want foreign aid from the US.To get it they have to scare the crap out of Japan,have Japan put pressure on the US to negotiate with North Korea,because 75% of their people are starving to death.
