I want to upload an image onto this one auction site (webidz) and it only allows jpeg images, but all of my images are bmp. I use Kodak Easy Share for my images and I use Irfan View to resize them. Can anybody tell me how (or if its even possible) to change an image from bmp to jpeg?

Yeah, import the pictures to Paint, select save as, and it should let you switch the file type from bmp to jpeg. Also, you could try a third party program, such as http://www.flydragonsoft.com/bmp-jpeg-converter.htm .

Most image programs can do this. Even MS Paint!

Simply open your .bmp file in paint, then go to File>Save As, then in the file type drop down menu, simply choose .jpg instead of the default .bmp.

Open the image with windows default viewer. Or right click on it and click Preview. This will open it in windows "Fax and picture viewer". From there, you will see a disk icon to the bottom right. Click that. There, select JPEG in the drop down menu, create name for the image. Click save...

Quick and simple way to do it.

If it were me, this is what I would do. I'd right click on the image and save it to my desktop. Go to the desktop, right click again and open the image with paint. Click file and save as....then down below the image you can click on the drop down menu, and click on the jpg, etc. Click save and there you have it. You should be able to include it into your page.

It really is not very difficult. If you can open it in MS Paint, you can simply use the Save As... command and save it as a JPG from the drop down menu.
Good Luck!

Adobe Photoshop can give you lots of features to play with your pictures and save them in various file formats.

If you are looking for cheaper options then open bitmap picture in MS paint (for Windows 2000/XP/2003) and goto save as and select save as type to jpg, give a name to file and save it.
