Depends which generation.
The 1993-2000 Corsa was rubbish at everything except looking decent, while the first Punto was quite good (but not as good as the Uno had been in 1984!).
The second generation (1999-2006) Punto was decent, although the post facelift models (2003-2006) aren't as distinctive.
The equivalent Corsa (2000-2006) is decent too, although rather dull - does nothing well, but equally does nothing particularly poorly either. Neither were a match for the Skoda Fabia in any meaningful way (or the latest Fiesta, or many other competitors).
The new Punto has had great reviews, and the new Corsa (due in the showrooms later this year) shares its platform, so there'll be even less to choose between them.

i stay interior the U. S., the place none of those vehicles are obtainable, yet i do like small eu compact vehicles. i trulycontinual a mini cooper, and that i like it, yet i do no longer understand how costly they are in different aspects of the worldwide. the corsa is a great vehicle, from what i hear. in case you think of it extremely is a clever selection, yet are frightened of mixing in, I even have an thought. in different international places, the corsa is bought as an opel, and the intense-overall performance version is named the OPC version. in keeping with hazard purchase a vauxhall corsa, after which get some OPC aspects to placed on it, so it appears that evidently unique. my cousin became pondering paying for an astra and doing that, till he have been given a good deal on a used volkswagen GTI. and the recent punto looks intense-high quality, yet i'm uncertain how costly it extremely is to purchase one. in case you've gotten adequate funds it, a minimum of attempt to attempt-power one and spot in case you like using it. in case you do, it would desire to be the winner. or maybe do a splash examine and spot if a ford concentration is sweet or no longer. the concentration that ford sells in europe is relatively intense-high quality, extremely in comparison to the single that they sell right here interior the states, and that i could be speedy to purchase one if i lived in yet another component of the worldwide. french vehicles are actually not too good. i might say stay faraway from the clio and the saxo in case you are able to. the only french vehicles i might evercontinual, to boot a peugeot 908 sooner or later whilst i'm loaded with funds, are a citroen C4 and a peugeot 206, however the C4 is costly and that i'm uncertain in the event that they nevertheless make the 206 anymore.
