Your computer in general? If your computer doesn't have much memory left because you have a lot of junk on it, then you should delete stuff you don't need, remove programs that you don't ever use or need, possibly defragment your computer (your comp probably has a program for this), and delete the temporary internet files or something. If you do that, then you should have more space and your computer might run a bit faster.

Could be alot of reasons. One could be the amount of ram you have? If you only have a small amount it would run slow. You could also have a virus that is taking up most of your memory. Have you run Disc clean-up, or defragmented your disc lately?I would try those first. I would then run a scan on your computer for viruses. If you have a phone-line connection, it is going to be slow anyway.
Good Luck!

There's a problem with Yahoo!, if that's what you're using. If it's slow to 'get going', you might have too many programmes starting up at the same time when you first switch on. If you go to the 'start' menu, you can check what programmes start up straight away by clicking on 'Set Programme access and defaults'.

there are many causes for your computer being so slow
1)not enough ram,a ram upgrade is probally the cheapest and best upgrade avalible and 256mb ddr ram modules are avalible for only £15 from http://www.dabs.com/productlist.aspx?&NavigationKey=11150&NavigationKey=4294960195&NavigationKey=4294960191&CategorySelectedId=11150&PageMode=1.
2)viruses and spyware can slow down your p.c,make sure you have up-to-date security installed and run scans weekly.use these programs which are all free and highly recommended

3)run a p.c cleaner to get rid of unwanted files and programs, download http://www.ccleaner.com/.
finally a good defragment will sort your hard drive out,if it hasent been done for a while this could take all night, depending on your hard drive size

Could be running a programme that is not doing anything, possibly as a result of a virus - pess CTRL+ALT+DEL, select processes and see if anything is using a lot of your CPU. Also try defraging your hard drive, deleting temp internet files etc. Could be many reasons

try added more ram that will fix it tho there might be cheaper ways of fixing the problem ie all the replies above but if it's none of those things then you need more ram
