I had been on the pill for 8 yrs and it took me a year after going off the pill and we were apart for six months so that's also why it took a while. You have to know how to calculate when your body is ovulating and yes there's different methods to help get pregnant. doggy style and lying on your side with him behind you is good ways but you need to lay flat for awhile after and don't pee right after sex. It took my husband and I 5 yrs.....along time I know. We would always try it when he was on top, and that never worked.
I got pregnent when I was on top of him... now I have a beautiful baby boy, he is now 2 months. You can go to your local drug store and buy an ovulation Kit that really helps, or you can count 14 days from the first day you start your period and count that on the calender, that is usually when we ovulate and try to get pregnant on thoose 3 days

It only takes a few seconds.
But getting in there at the RIGHT time is the hard part!!hehe
The old fashioned way worked for us, three times.
It helps if you enjoy it. The first one took a while. We tried for about a year. Then after that the second happened only a few months later.

The first try, I downloded a "Ovulation Calendar" off the internet and it told me when I was fertil the most, I did it on that very day and 10 days later found out I was pregnant with my now 5 months old baby boy.

A year!! You need to figure out when you ovulate, and then after you have sex, you have to lay there for about a half an hour to allow the little guys to swim to where they need to get to so they can make the baby. I am not kidding, this is what I did and it worked.

It took my wife one day (but what a day!)
It was a relaxed atmosphere with no distractions and we were leisurely about the sex.

both times it took one time witht the same dude..i think it depends on the people..

took me 1 day but we had sex from 5am to 12pm
