Usually I wear dress slacks and trouser suits to work 2 or 3 days a week, and I always wear pantyhose underneath.
I find visible panty lines totally unacceptable, and I like the smooth and firm look that I get from a pair of control top pantyhose, especially with some of the thinner and lighter colored slacks and trousers I wear in the summer months.
Just as you, I also work and live in air conditioned buildings, so I'm never overly warm, and as long as I buy the correct size and better quality pantyhose I'm really quite comfortable wearing them.
To me, pantyhose are just part of my professional wardrobe, and I probably wouldn't feel dressed without them.

I always wear pantyhose. My career too dictates that hosiery be worn so I wear them 99% of the time - even in slacks. I find myself to be more comfortable wearing pantyhose than not. Wearing them under slacks omits panty lines, and I agree, it helps the slacks slide easier when sitting down and standing up.
The modern fashion is to go bare leg, but I feel that pantyhose make my legs and feet look better by giving a finished and professional look.

I only wear pantyhose when the pants are so clingy that the stockings and garterbelt that I usually wear to work would show. then I wear sheer to waist sandlefoot pantyhose, in a summer weight. I do not like bare feet in dress clothes, and I think the bare leg look is sloppy and lazy.

Generally, the only time I wear pantyhose is if my outfit needs a "finished" look, and my legs are going to show...I'll wear knee highs with slacks, if it looks better to see hose than my skin between the bottom of the pant and my shoe...
Mostly though, I go bare legged...my legs are not unattractive, and I keep a nice tan throughout the spring into the fall because I live in FL and can...I don't find hose to be comfortable, I have to wear control top or they slide down, and then they are just something else to have to delicately wash, and they are fairly easily damaged...
There was a time where it wasn't proper for a woman to go without hose if her legs were going to be showing...I'm so glad those days are gone...

I usually don't wear pantyhose, because I prefer stockings, but if a particular pair of pants are too tight and thin to wear with stockings I will wear sheer to waist 6 denier pantyhose, which are extremely sheer and almost undetectable, unless you touch them. Then they are smoother than any bare leg could be.
I never go bare legged, or bare footed when dressed up, or will I wear knee highs or anklets and get those terrible ridges in my skin fron the elastic tops.

I prefer wearing stockings, but if the slacks re thin and tight, I will wear sheer to waist pantyhose. I hate the bare leg, bare foot look, and always sear stockings with heels and dress clothes. I don't like the little cheater stockings because they look cheap, and make marks on my legs. also , they show, if you are not careful. I rather feel the nylons on my legs than the pant legs.

I love to wear panty hose.
I know they have become passe, but I am from the old school, when women always wore panty hose.
I agree, the more sheer they look the better. I personally think, they make legs look so much nicer. Since you dont really see any of your skins imperfections with panty hose, for they hide them....Thats my 2 cents on panty hose...
