Rent the video "The Pee Wee Herman Show" . It's a live, on-stage spoof on kid's shows and served as a basis for Pee Wee's Playhouse. Then you'll understand what he's doing.
Also - Look for Cowboy Curtis. He's played by Laurence Fishburn.

Probably cause Pee Wee got caught jacking off in a public theater back in the day. The sick irony that a kids show T.V. host spanks his monkey in public fits the whole adult swim theme,don't you think?

Same reason why they started playing Saved by the Bell, to relate to the older crowd who watched it when they were kids. Yea, they know kids don't watch Adult Swim (or are supposed to), so they do it for the adults.

it is childern series but i think its adult swim because pee wee probaly took lot of drugs .my cousian told me he's in jail right now and trust me you dont want to know why he's in jail.

I used to think the same thing, but if you watch it again now, you will see that it is full of very sexual innuendo. My question is why is a non-cartoon on Cartoon Network?

i watch adult swim and,
yes it is for little kids but its so gay that its hilarious!
(and no other TV station plays it)
