Why is that?? Most Harley riders I know have a 'live and let live' attitude.

Because they wish they had a Harley. Some small minded people only know how to react with negative comments, kind of like liberals.

It doesn't have anything to do with a live and let live attitude, it has to do with the Harley riders asking that stupid question "Why don't you get a real motorcycle?" My answer is simple, I don't want to have to spend half my riding time on the side of the road trying to fix the bike. Harleys have a terrible habit of breaking down. I have ridden past a lot of these Harley riders sitting beside the road fixing theirs. Thats no fun. If you're going to ride, you should have the confidence in the bike that it won't quit on you. One other point, loud pipes don't do anything but make people mad. They don't save lives any more than regular pipes.

Harley Davidson is a whole other attitude. I have been riding since 1982 and I have owned both rice and HD. If you don't maintain your ride, you'll fix it on the side of the road, doesn't matter what you ride. People can say anything they want to on here, bet they don't have the balls to say it to HD riders in person. They vent here because it won't cost em' any teeth. Don't mess with me and we won't have a problem, come looking for trouble and you will find it. If you don't like my ride, OH WELL!

Harley Davidson and Indian are true pieces of Americana. Remember, that's what our servicemen and police ride. So go ahead, knock em' you unpatriotic bastards.

There is a little girl named Harley on my daughter's soccer team. She's a very good player but not a tomboy or anything. She's very loud and opinionated and not at all shy. I can't say I like the name Harley on a girl or boy really but it does seem better on a girl than boy for some reason.

Wow yet another one of these questions, seem as popular as "which is the fastest". My perspective: I ride for pleasure, average 12K annually mostly just on weekends. I've ridden through severe weather conditions, talked to folks on top of several mountain passes, camped w/ tents stuffed onto the passenger seat. I've seen a mountain lion run across the road in front of the pack of motorcycles (just last month), nearly hit deer of all sizes, and ran over stuff much smaller -- all in California. Dude, it's a two wheeled vehicle with some kind of nameplate on it -- the world is passing by while you're defending/attacking it. You want to bash somebody bash the pathetic folks that see it as the only interesting thing about motorcycles.

Read some of the answers from Harley Davidson owners and riders and re-think your question. It goes both ways. Jerks come in all sizes, shapes, colors and nationalities. Some ride German, British, American, Canadian, Checkoslovakian, Italian, Japanese, Spanish. Opinionated idiots are all around.

They wouldn't if Harley riders were not so annoying. Is it really necessary to constantly rev the engines. People don't care if you have a motorcycle, and the only one that wants to hear the constant revving is the rider. Oh, to many Harley's are too damn loud, and should be cited.

I'm not bashing Harleys or Harley riders. Ride what you have. It's okay by me.

My non-Harley is cheap and fully paid for. *shrug*

I'd rather push a Harley, than ride a Honda.

The same reason people are always bashing about how Ford sucks and Hondas rule, blah, blah, blah. I love Harleys and would never buy a Honda bike or a Honda car. I drive Fords but would one day own a Harley.I never liked those crotch rockets and rice rockets. I'm 100% pure American born and believe in American made products.

A harley is a man's bike. Anything else is fun and flashy. It's the difference between muscle cars and these fast and the furious type race cars.
