To alter or consume CO/CO2 emissions so that it doesn't harm the atmosphere. There's gotta be a way(I believe we just haven't found it yet) to USE/RE-USE the harmful emissions to our advantage.

No sh!t rez, have you ever thought about HOW we should stop PRODUCING "harmful emissions", without damaging our industrialized economy?? Yes, it's a sad fact that we are BURNING our fuel and producing EMISSIONS, but it has become such an integral part of producing the goods we have today, that I'm looking for ways to work around it. It's called an ALTERNATIVE solution.

It has been theorized that the ocean could consume tons of CO2 (and actually does every day).

The proposal is to make dry ice and then inject it at great ocean depths where it would evaporate and become part of the ocean.

However, it would also raise the acidity of the ocean and could cause unknown issues with the eco-system which is the main reason why it has not yet been done.

There has been a great deal of thought put into your question by the world's scientists and indeed it has been a very difficult nut to crack.

Good question though, keep them coming!

CO can be catalytically converted into CO2 (this is what your catalytic converter on your car does)

CO2: plants, aquatic and land based, are absorbing CO2 all the time and that gives some genetic engineers ideas. there is a significant amount of research coming out on breeding plants to be able to absorb significant(ly more) amounts of CO2. one such project has produced a strange side effect. i'm not sure if the CO2 absorption was increased, but the side effect was that a significant amount of fuel for biodiesel was produced.

CO2 sequestration has also been studied. look up zero emission coal plants. they seem to have some traction scientifically. basically, a coal plant is put underground and the emissions don't reach the outside air due to several filters.

nuclear technology is the only currently CO2 free energy source that is in play right now. everyone else is right though, conservation is the only way.

CO is deadly and a pollutant. It kills by combining with your blood and excluding oxygen, smokers breath it all the time.

CO2 is NOT a pollutant and is readily available from a huge range of processes on Earth. It is only toxic at very high concentrations (usually by asphyxiation). Now, we have a problem because the natural combustion of all organic matter produces CO2. We are contributing to this by burning the oil which has been "locked away" underground.

The solution .... don't do it so much, plant trees (where do you think wood comes from... CO2 of course), develop renewables. Think of the planet

Maybe we should stop producing the "harmful emissions".
Have you ever thought of that?

This is a typically American question: How can I continue my polluting, energy wasting ways, and find some rediculous technology to solve it?

And then of course...you need the "experts only". Because they are the only people who can see the obvious.

With attitudes like this, we are doomed.

Well uhmm the best natural way to get read of CO2 is trees and other plants. And you can't really reuse CO for anything, since it is can be deadly...

They are re-introducing CO2 gases into closed coal mines... CO2 dissolved in water........ or not... I have seen a scheme on this once - have it somewhere at the back of my memory - I will write more when I remember it.
