I"m sorry, maybe I have a bad attitude, but we have plenty of people to help out at home. There is no guarantee that the money would get to the children anyway. I would much rather help our elderly with their prescriptions than give money to an organization that we really don't know if the money goes to the charity or to someone's pocket. How much does the United Way and the Red Cross pay their CEOs? I can guarantee you it's not minimum wage.

First of all, Christians understand the importance of suffering. Suffering builds character and brings you closer to God.

The people that say as a Christian, one should support Israel, are not preaching Christianity and one should not confuse a political leader with a religious leader. This is the same problem that Muslims have with terrorist - "religious" leaders recruiting and convincing people to carry out horrible acts of terrorism on people that are innocent. Try and think for yourself about your relationship with God. That relationship really has less to do with social factors (i.e. where and with whom one may pray) than most people think.

Being human is above all faith and religion.
God sent us 124000 prophets to learn to love and respect each other regardless of race, nationality, etc.
An independent civil movement needs to happen in the US to counter dirty politics that has degraded worldview towards Americans. What happens to Lebanese kids today may be happening to Americans tomorrow if this does not happen.
