It's about 90 degrees in my house, and I don't have AC because I live in an area that doesn't normally need it. I have a north-facing window, a ceiling fan, and two floor fans -- any suggestions on the best way to circulate air and cool off the room?

Jay, it's 85.5 in here and about 112F outside today, I sweat with the water cooler on inside. If you only have the one window you can try putting the fans across the room in both corners and blow the air out the window, not blow the hot air in. Leave the ceiling fan on. If you're sick of it at home, try to find somewhere cool like going looking in stores just to stay cool (they will have the A/C on), finding some body of water nearby and hanging out there in the shade in nice too.

get some air moving around inside. Set one floor fan to suck air in through the north facing window, in a close by room set the other floor fan for blow air out the window.

Use fewer close, drink cold beverages......beats freezing.

you could go take a cold shower and then go to the closest store that sells acs and keep and ac in the house at all times for emergincies like this because even if it normal doesn't get that at hot normally it still may happen so just see if that helps

Sounds exactly like my boyfriends house! lol My suggestion: go in the basement, or go see a movie. Movie theaters have AC. I feel for you, man.

Do it the old fashioned way, buy a block of ice & put it in front of your fan.
