i hate it when some people ask me if i speak english. they think i'm some illegal or something that doesn't wanna learn english. hello i speak perfect english. and what's just as bad is when i hear people speaking spanish and talking their s**t thinking i don't understand them like i'm some pocha!!! ooooo it gets me so mad why do people judge some just by there looks?? especially now with the whole immigration thing where everyone is against mexicans so all of a sudden i'm an immigrant who doesn't know how 2 speak english....hello i'm a citizen thank you....not all mexicans are the same.

You should have just as much of an opinion about illegal immigrants yourself as you do being treated like one though.
Most of the people I know, like myself, are not upset with Mexicans, they're upset with illegal immigrants who are given privileges and rights that they shouldn't have. I disagree and disapprove with my tax dollars being spent to improve the standard of living for an illegal immigrant rather than improving my own.
I don't care if this person is Hispanic or something else- there is a legal way to become a citizen in this country and a wrong way. Doing it the wrong way makes one a criminal and criminals should be punished, not rewarded.

I think it's because there are so many mexicans that don't want to learn english & will force other people to learn spanish

yep. i get the same thing because i'm korean. people think i'm chinese and cannot speak english. i was adopted, so i've been a us citizen my whole life, but people like to ASSume.

the interesting part of your question is when you said they are talking their s**t thinking you dont understand....
this is one of the things that bothers me, especially in the workplace... when people who can speak their national tongue speak with it around others...
i was taught that whispering in the presence of others is RUDE...
i consider this along the same line of RUDENESS... i can hear, but i cant understand so what is the diff...
my dad knew his fathers national tongue and could speak it... i wish mom would have let him teach us ... i would love to blah blah blah around those others and giggle and such .... see how they like it....

LOL my Honduras friend gets that all the time, he taught himself to speak with an American accent so no one knows what the hell he is unless they know his last name.

been there... just let them be stoopid, and when they get their foot in thier mouth you proove them wrong... to others that just ask, go along with it... dont talk to them in english, but let them hear you speak it a bit later!!!
