Keep in touch once she moves - e-mail, chatting online, telephone calls, writing letters. Eventually, your friendship will probably taper off and you will be more distant than you are now, but you will make new friends and so will she. It's just part of growing up - learning to let go.

Well it kind of depends on how far she is moving. I know that if my best friend was moving out of the state I would probably visit her once a year and/or have her come visit me too. But while she is gone, living in a new place, I would write to her, e-mail her, talk to her on msn/yahoo messenger, call her and hang out as much as possible.

Its hard when a friend moves, but today so easy to stay in touch with cell phones and email and the like. I have friends that I have had to move away from my whole life but I stayed in touch with the ones I really liked and still do now. I am getting ready to go on vacation with my kids and spend a week with one of them and her son.

Its hard but you two guys can still keep in touch. My best friend lives in another state and we are still close. Just talk on the phone or send letters and during your breaks you can go visit each other. Thats What I do
