i am trying to start my own business how do i get started?

i am wanting to start an adult novelties store. how do i get started??? where do i go to get the merchandise that i need for my store???

i am looking for answers like where do i get the merchandise at for my store and i get started. its not going to be online store.

Those sites they gave you are more like advertisements. The best site to go to for info on small businesses that i've seen so far is www.entrepreneur.com

They have over 200 articles pertaining to small businesses including info on business plans, choosing a business, deciding where to get merchandise, start-up costs, growth/income expectations....

Also, I would suggest taking a part time job for a few months in an adult novelties store, if you haven't already. You can learn what to expect and see what kind of customers you'd need to market to. You'd also get an inside look at your competition.

Find out where some similar stores in the area get their merchandise. There are a lot of "wholesale" scams on the net, some that i've fallen for myself. Get a recommendation or research those companies to make sure they are legit.

First step: make a business plan. They ask a lot of obvious questions, but it's easy to overlook the things you think you know. You can find a plan template online for free.

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
