Potentially every download can be logged, what, when, and from what IP address. If you have to log in to the server, than the user account used for the download is also logged. Hopefully the access controls on the server are set such that one user logged in cannot see another's file, but it is possible to allow that too. It depends on how the access rights are set up.

Every time you connect to a server, it makes a log entry. These access logs are very long and verbose, detailing the IP address of the user, the file/directories accessed, the result of the access, how much data was transferred, etc.
The only way that the owner can identify somebody is through either their login name, or their IP address. If it's an anonymous server, then only the IP address is recorded.
There are programs whose purpose is to sift through these large log files and generate statistics based on them.
Finally, unless you are running an FTP server on your own computer they cannot get to your hard drive files.

Yes, the ftp server owner would be able to see your IP and each person who even attempts to connect to her ftp. Hopefully you are using a legit ftp client (the software you have on your pc to connect to the server) and they would not be able to see your files on your HDD. Depending on how the ftp server pc is setup they can potentially see every single ftp command your client sends
(changing directory, list files, try and get or put files, etc.).

It there is a member system - Maybe depending on the web software used.
Other members should not be able to see what your activites are on any type of software as this is invasion of privacy.
Also if there are lots of users the chances of the owner just looking at what you are doing is slim.

You can log names and passwords. The event log in your ftp server should have what each login is downloading.

the owner would be able to see each user individually, what they have done, etc etc
if other users could see other files on your computer would depend on a few things, is it a legitimate place/ did you share files, anything in the readme files, hard to answer this part really
