Both of them, and Israel for killing the Lebanese and Hezbollah for killing Israelis

Well, as I see it, Lebanon elected a government that openly stated that they wanted "death to israel"... that's picking a fight, right there... and to begin with, never tried to do anything about a terrorist group that was in their country constantly attacking Israel and then kidnapped an Israeli Soldier... that's an act of war... and just because a tiny country got themselves into something they didn't expect and certainly can't handle, doesn't mean they didn't ask for the Butt-whooping.. Do I feel sorry for the average Lebanese person on the street, oh hell, yes... I pray for them, whether they would want me to or not... but what was Israel supposed to do, tolerate Hezbollah tunneling under the border and killing and kidnapping their soldiers? Lebanon was supposed to be keeping the area free of Hezbollah and when the new anti-Israel gov't came in, they were all for Hezbollah causing problems, maybe didn't expect Israel would respond... so Lebanon brought it upon itself, but the people are only slightly to blame (in as much as they voted for a gov't that said it would start a war).... I feel sorry for everyone involved in war, but it's like with the US, what were we to do? Just let the terrorists keep attacking us or try to fight back??? Islamic extremists have long been saying they want war with non-Islamic countries and they have finally pushed us into it.... So are we to blame for that? only if it is a crime to believe as we choose and that's why Americans came to America, to worship as we chose.... and the Jews were in the Middle East before Islam was born....

it would be easy to say Lebanon is the cause of the problem. but you have to look at the history of the what lead up to the conflict. you have Israel existing in the middle of Islamic nations. it would be like me moving into a neighborhood that didn't like white people and me wondering why i was being treated so poorly.
this has been going on since 1948 when the UN formed Israel.
Israel is to hardheaded to even bend a little to bring peace to the region.let go of the women and children they have locked up and they will get there 3 solders back.
it is both there faults for trying to save face in this conflict.

England, the U.S., the UN...

If Israel hadn't been resettled after WWII , if the U.S. hadn't oversupported Israel, if the UN actually did its job,......

The US NEEDS ongoing conflicts to support its war machine. The US also NEEDS the oil in the middle East. Israel can bank on US support no matter what. That's why they can act like they do - attacking civilians when a military commando ought to be able to take out most major terrorist cells. These are not the Afghan mountains we're talking about here.

Lebanon allowed Hezbollah to stay in Lebanon. Iran has funded Hezbollah for years.

This issue is larger than your question.

Step back and see that religion is the blame.
Some believe that God says to get along with others.
Some believe that God says to kill the infidel pigs.

When your neighbor wants to kill you, I say it's OK to defend yourself. To the point that you feel that there is no longer a threat to your safety.
Any self defense teacher will say the same thing. You keep fighting till you are sure the opponent will not be a threat any longer.

Neither, it was the Hezbollah terrorist who started all this. If Lebanon was smart they would work with the Israeli's to rid their country of the Hezbollah all together.

Blame is not the word to use. The fighting going on over there is deeper than you can understand , obviously. Instead of blaming try praying.

Both are at fault. Israel responds to Lebanese guerrilla tactics with brute force, and the underequipped Lebanese respond with increasingly clever tactics that we classify as terrorism. The answer all depends on who you ask.
