it has so many players and you get lists with categories and you roll a dice with all the letters on it and whatever letter you land on you have to use the categories to make words.

You are correct..that is scattergories. It's cool because not only do you have to come up with a word that starts with that letter, but if someone else picks the same word, no one gets points for it!

That sounds like scattergory. We play that game all the time with my sister in-law and her husband, and it is a lot of fun!!
