Talk to your ob/gyn to be sure, but sleeping on your tummy at this point probably isn't a problem. However, many medical types suggest that sleeping on your left side is the healthiest for the baby, because it gives the heart maximum capacity. You know, you might want to pick up the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting". I found it extremely helpful (along with having an awesome ob/gyn).

It is perfectly safe to sleep on your belly when you are pregnant. Although, if you are far enough along, it would be very uncomfortable to do so. Earlier on in the pregnancy, no problem! If you are comfortable doing so, go for it!!

You will be fine. Your body will let you know when the time for belly sleeping is up when it's too uncomfortable to sleep that way anymore. Babies are tougher than people think.

It's fine if you wake up and you're on your belly - just turn back onto your side and go back to sleep. But don't intentionally sleep on your stomach. Side is best for you and your baby.

im 8mo pregnant and i dont look it and i asked my doctor bout sleeping on my stomach. he told me that is not a good idea cause it could casue the ambilical cord of the baby to go around the baby's neck and it could come out and that is how the baby gets his/her nutrients. so i would sleep on my side or back if i were you

i looked up sleeping on stomach and it says sleeping this way wont harm baby, but
at 16weeks sleeping on your back is very bad,
they have pillows for you to put between your legs at 16weeks to sleep on your side, better for your baby.
sleeping on stomach ok: 16weeks sleep on side with a pillow between legs.

Sleep however you are comfortable.
The bigger you get, the less likely you will sleep on your tummy.

Still, space is a space, please leave room for your baby to grow at night, otherwise it will cause unwanted problem in the future.
