I used Breathe Right strips. You can only wear them for 12 hours at a time, but at least it allowed me to get a decent night's sleep.

sleep with a vaporizor on (cool mist) if you don't have one, go and buy one because it will come mighty handy when your baby comes along and gets sick!!! steam from a shower or tea kettle do wonders, too.

those sudacare plug-ins are AWESOME, but i would read the warning label or call their number to make sure they're safe to take while pregnant.

sometimes it helps to take a warm washcloth and keep it on your face where your sinuses are.

as far over the counter meds, you should only take what your doctor says to take. Don't be afraid to call and ask them, they won't be annoyed - they'll be glad you're taking care of yourself and thinking of the baby!!! I was told sudafed was NOT safe, but chlortrimoton was, so definately ask someone who is medically qualified!

you may also want to try drinking some hot (not herbal) tea.

hope you feel better soon!!

OHH MY GOD, i feel ya girl,. I had this my whole pregnancy thank God I am almost finished!! I used the over the counter sudafed. I had it approved by my DR. I only took 2-3 pills aday instead of the suggested 6-8. It really did help, but makes you more sleepy even though it says non drowsy. that was my ONLY relive..I tried all the "natural stuff.....now I am faced with horible rib pain so if you ever experience that the only hting that sorta helps is a warm bath.....good luck with your baby!!!!!!!!!

I took sudafed when I was pregnant, but I was like 4 months, you might want to go to the doctor before taking anything just to be sure you aren't taking anything that will hurt the baby. I know it's miserable, hang in there until you can get to the doctor.

Consult your Dr or pharmacist as many over the counter medications can not be taken in the first trimester.

Try standing in a shower and inhale the steam. Will not be a permanent solution.

You can take sudafed when you are preggers -- just take it if you really need it. -- It may just be a fun aspect of pregnancy for you!! (probably not the last or most fun either!!)
