Weight lifting is mostly about muscle mass and strength building. Therefore, bursts of energy are a boon to aiding one get through the tougher workouts that we may challenge ourselves with from time to time. A little known scientific study established that heavier music has the tendency to subconsciously increase the presence of whatever part of our brain is responsible for feeling anger, and as such, makes one more prone to gaining adrenaline. As such, heavy music is not just good music to fuel one's ears during a workout, it also fuels the body, and as such, is beneficial to use during such a practice.
