It works great on the usb.Please do not be too technical,I'm a technophobe,(or maybe just plain stupid,take your choice).Thank you.I think there may be a conflict of settings,but I haven't a clue how to sort it.

I had to order High Speed internet through
AT&T Yahoo DSL. They provided a Home Portal, filters, Home Portal, USB cables and Ethernet Cables. I had no problem with the assembly.The internet is very high speed.

The cause which may be linked with problem might be unavailability of the driver which is a software essential for running INTERNET through ethernet port or lan port . u should check it out or consent someone proficient in technology to find out drivers' availabilty.

nomaly, access the internet
if u can't
go to network connection, configure the ip, subnet mask of your computer in your network, point default gateway to the router or the computer connect directly with the router, dns server is your router or that computer and alternate dns server is the dns of your internet provider (can be blank).
if u still can't, may be your network use proxy connection
setup your proxy in the internet option/connections/lan setting

If it works on USB, then stick with USB. I think its the best.
If you must, you need an ADSL Ethernet router your computer shop, and its a "Female-dog" to set up. I don't think its worth it.
If its to be part of a network, get someone who knows to set it up!
