by just making the federal budget 4 dollars, and 18 cents?(plus whatever we can scrape together in food stamps, spare change, and credit card offers)

'our' budget AKA what you mean 'we' etc...and that's the problem. Congress seems to have people in it that have ALL kinds of wild ambitions and no concept of restrictions on their plans. Given that they've got carte blanche to basically do whatever, spend as much as they want whether it's tax money or promissory notes, and the voters are either silent or unheeded on that, Congress will, through its' incompetence and lack of self-control/self-censure, ultimately end up being the undoing of our whole country, in my view, unless they undertake to seriously reform their spending practices. This administration's partly to blame for it, they don't want to recognize any reasonable limits nor apparently the Constitution anymore, either....

I think America's problems would be solved if:
- The government would keep its nose out of personal affairs, such as abortion, drugs, marriage, etc.
- Charge a flat tax, instead of the "rob Peter to pay Paul" tax system we currently use
- Stop supporting immigrants and thier children. They are draining our economy.
- Stop rebuilding other countries and focus on our own.
Oh, the list could go on and on...

Want to solve the problem of the budget?
Pass a constitutional amendment that modifies Article I Section 8 clause 18 from "necessary and proper" to "absolutely necessary and proper, using the least restrictive means".
That would eliminate about 80% of Congressional spending and federal regulations.

I have a better Idea!! Since Bush and many of the rich have millions. that's right, go look up his tax returns, invested in banks like Providian, which charges poor people 30% interest! Why don't we make them lower the rate to 15% and take it out of the riches pocketbook??
They shouldn't be stealing from the poor, and 30% interest plus annual fee's is Stealing!
