opinions needed?

i wanted to get back in contact with a guy i went to school with several years ago so i called his mom and left my info with her and she said she would surely give him the msg.its been 3 days and he still hasnt called yet.im starting to think he wont.should i be thinking that way? im starting to regret the whole thing. whats your opinion?

Let it go. It isn't worth regret - (easily the worst possible feeling one can have since you can do nothing about it.) It almost isn't worth a second thought. You wanted to get back in contact and made an effort - either his mom didn't give him the message or she did and he hasn't acted on it. Either way you are done. You can't follow up now because if mommie dearest interfered, then you would be calling her on that and THAT is a Pandora's Box you don't want to open. If it is the latter, - that he isn't responding - then you REALLY are done. Chalk it up to a learning experience and if you ever find yourself in the position again - just say you will call back when he is home.

I think you have demonstrated some personal courage in trying to make the contact, rather than remaining silent and wondering what might have been without making the effort to find out. Whether it works out or not, you have no reason to feel embarrassed. You are living your life proactively and that is a commendable thing. Best of luck to you on your endeavors.

It's only been three days Honey. Maybe she hasn't had a chance to give him the message or maybe he hasn't had a chance (or the guts) to call you yet. give it a couple more days and call his mom back. See how she responds this time.
