First off know your personal style.Second,know what colors you like/look good on you.Know what size you are.Find clothes you like in magazines and take the pictures with you.
Shop around,you may find you like certain style that is way more expensive in a brand name store,that is offered in somewhat of the same stlye in a less expensive store .
If you ever watch Oprah they do shows where they show an outfit done by a designer for so much $$ then one in lets say Target for like $100 less.They aren't the exact outfit,but pretty darn close.

going to the store means that you can try on clothes and see if they fit you and what they look like on you. It can also be more fun if you go with your friends. there is also always a chance that they don't have your size in. shopping online is nice if you know what size fits you, and they will most likely have your size. It's also more expensive since you have to pay shipping and handleing. so, there are pro's and con's to each. you just have to make a decision.

Go out with a friend. Make a day of it. Browse the stores, try stuff on. Have lunch. Do some more shopping/browsing. Stop for plenty of coffees. Buy something you like. But best of all....

ONLINE SHOPPING!! I luv it!!! Because plus you get to see all thier clothes and its so much easier! U can shop for cute clothes while still in ur PJS!

I like shopping online. You can get alot of stuff from stores you dont have in your area.

Personally, I like thrift stores. Goodwill stores are pretty good. I've found some pretty nice clothes there, and thrift stores are always pretty cheap.
