Frankly, about 6 hours of sleep is more than enough. However, another important aspect which makes the difference to you is your sleep time. Ideally, one is expected to sleep by 2330 and 0130 at night. If that's possible 6 to 7 is sufficient. If the sleeping habits are erratic and not timely, then its better to catch up with about 8 to 9 hours of sleep and in most of those cases,... (i'm telling u this from my own expereince), I wished for more sleep. So, plan your day well and also give a thought to ensure you eat nutritious food! Most of these are not something we don't know...but, we have to work really hard to make this happen especially with the work pressures we face these days!

I get about 7 hrs of sleep on weekdays, I wish I'd get atleast 9 though!
I make up for my lost sleep on weekends.
How do you manage with just 4 - 5 hours of sleep, I think its too less to be able to stay alert through the day.

I think I'm the 3rd person to tell you about a sleep apnea. I get anywhere from 1 - 4 hours of "good" sleep a night. I hate it, it makes me feel groggy all day but can't sleep. I had a sleep test done this past week, I need a CPAP to help me sleep, which I am getting tomorrow. Hopefully I'll start getting at least 6 hours of sleep a night.

The average person needs about 8 hours of sleep. Some get by on 6, and some, like me need 10 to feel right.
If I was with you. We'd go to bed about 7:00. And then go to
sleep about midnight.
Couldn't help myself. I'm usually more reserved.

Just 2 days ago I got some Lunesta and the past two nights I've slept 8 hours and it has been wonderful; before that I only slept like 3 hours a night and I felt like crap. Now if I could just get rid of the dark circles... but I guess that's gonna take awhile. You really should try to sleep more that's not healthy! God Bless.

i get about 4 to 6 hours - I wish I could sleep 8 to 10 - but that doesnt even happen on weekends, lol
