From what i know an xbox has much better graphics than a playstation. if graphics is what your looking for go for the xbox. If it is game selection like shoot em' up games go for xbox. If u want adventure games that arent like shooting sprees go for the ps3. as for price go the ps3 way. if u are worried about space i would say the ps3 is better. I hope this helps u with your decision!

^first of all "pureice_1986" you do not need to buy a chip to play XBOX games, I bought KOTOR2 and it worked instantly, some games you have to download a free file on XBL but most games are covered.
^if you are tight on money then the base 360 is fine
^the PS3 is more expensive but is better in allmost every way, 7 wireless controllers on one system, a built in wireless newtork card, a blue-ray player which is $1000, overall the PS3 is a much better value, if you have $500-600.
^That being said the 360 aallready has a solid lineup of games out, and is nearing it's prime as a system, the PS3 will take a while to get numerous great games out, and you can get a used 360 and used games to save some $$$$$
^The 360 also has xbox live, which is the best online gaming network with flawless integration into the games and with the Xbox Live Marketplace, with which you can download demos, arcade games, movie trailers, music videos and much more for free
^Sony has promised a similar system for the PS3 with free online play($50/yr on XBL), but they also promised a solid online program for PS2 and PSP, and I am still waiting for them.
^The PS3 will have PSP integration, where you can stream files, pictures, music, and videos to your PSP. You can even suposially send info from your PSP to PS3 and vise-versa from anywhere with an internet connection.
^The PS3 also has a blue-ray player, which means they can put 25 to suposedly 50GB of data on one disk, the 360 is limited to 9.5ish GB on a dual layer DVD. The PS3 is $400+ less than stand alone blue-ray players
^the $600 PS3 comes with a HDMI input, which is the best HD input; plus movie companies can limit disk output to 270-480P if the signal is not ran through a HDMI cable, so if you want a blue-ray player, get the $600 verson
^I have a 360 and plan to get the $600 PS3 in July once they are in stock and have good games out (and it is my birthday).

enjoy (VOTE ME AS BEST ANSWER, LOOK HOW MUCH I WROTE!) !

depends, if u have an HDTV then go with the 360. if u ask me the PS3 is too expensive.if u dont have an HDTV, then i recommend the wii. wii has the best first party titles out of all the systems.also, the wii is only going to be $200-$250 and it mite even come with a good game. with 360 and PS3 u just get a huge hard drive and a lot of empty space in it.
the wii is also the smallest . the 360 and PS3 are huge.

The cheaper PS3 is basically as good as the cheaper Xbox 360. This pretty much means you'll be getting the more expensive version of the PS3.

In either case, it depends on the games that will come out on each.

In either case, the Wii is probably better.

PS3. Xbox 360 will only backplay some games and you have to buy a chip things for each game you want to back play. So not worth it. PS3 backplays all old games.

xbox 360 and PS3 have awesome graphics. It all depends on what type of gamer you are (and which controller you like better) I LOVE my Xbox 360 but I can't wait to get the PS3.

I am a hardcore gamer so I have an Xbox, PS1, PS2, Game cube, Xbox 360, Nitendo DS, PSP, and a Gameboy Advance.

I already have the PS3 on hold!

Like I said just depends on you!!!!

Depends on what type of games you play. I personally like all three. PS3 is better graphics wise and probably more games being available. Xbox 360 is cool cause, well, it has some interesting titles such as Prey, Oblivion, Full Auto. Nintendo Wii is probably gonna be made for the casual gamer such as kids and older adults. But I still want it for The new Smash Bros. It all boils down to what you want to play.
