I think for a technician's standpoint, Mariah Carey is the better singer. However, I wouldn't pay a dime to go see her. In concert, I'd rather see Kelly Clarkson (a bit less of the diva thing going on there).

Mariah Carey was named one of the best singers, because she has the best range and tone, than anyone out there. kelly can sing, but Mariah got this, lol...
