Because they think they're going to be able to get away with it. For instance, talking to a guy you had sex before on the phone even though you're already in a relationship. lol

Because they are selfish and they want what they want instantaneously. That's why you have pregnant 12 and 13 yos, why people are in debt up to the eyebrows, marriages breaking up at the drop of a hat, etc. Many people REFUSE to look at reality even when it is in their face. They don't listen to advice, they turn away from their parents teachings, they are proud and will not depend on God or anyone else.
What a waste!

I wish I knew. I know someone just like that. You tell them it's a bad idea, they agree. Then they go and do it and come back all upset. Swear they won't do it again. and do the same thing!
This usually pertains to relationships.. It's like they want to always have conflict in their life

they are seeking attention. there are good ways to achieve attention, but these poor souls don't care how they get attention. i'm sure you have seen someone that knows it is bad to haul off and hit someone, but they do it anyway, right in front of others sometimes. the hitter gets disciplined in some way. this person has accomplished getting someones attention. sad, don't you think.
