N.Y.C. for black, cheap as frick and really dark.
However if you like to spend a little more on cosmetics as I do then Guerlain terracotta loose powder is fantastic.
Of for liquid definitely try Lancome artliner precision point eyeliner.

On my top eyelids I like using liquid eyeliner. It leaves a perfect line and it doesn't smudge. But for my bottom eyelids I use a regular pencil, liquid doesn't seem to work there, my lashes get in the way.

I always use Mary Kate and Ashley in black. Its really cheap and it doesnt clump, its soft, and it goes on smooth. But make sure you buy the PENCIL not the one you roll up, it doesnt work as well.

I use liquid on both the top and the bottom. . . and then, after it is dry, cover the liner with pencil for the color. . . or with shadow put on with a wet narrow brush. . . holds the color beautifully
