The server system they are using is small on the free system.
But why should they increase its size, that costs them money. They are hopeing that everyone gets feed up with a mail system that is slow and starts to pay them money. Or they are hopping we all stop using it and go back to writing letters.
It must be said that it is not only Yahoo that are having this problem, the complete Internet system will slow because all of the providers are trying to get more and more customers on board to make more money but the overall system structure is not large enough to support it. They are all saying get the latest fast systems, but most of the cabling systems are not up to running at the speed. At the end of the day it is all about large companies making larger profits.

It won't do any good. This isn't a problem for Yahoo. It's all a ploy. Did you see all the people who came to Answers yesterday asking about Yahoo's mail and messenger? Many of those joined Answers for the first time, and all of those represent advertising revenue Yahoo got last night that they wouldn't have gotten if everything had been working. All they need to do is flip a switch and turn everything back on.

this is what happens when a server overloads,i reckon yahoo have had some kind of server attack by a outside source,i was reading that a hacker can infect 100,s of p.c,s turning them into zombie p.c,s and when the hacker has enough "zombie computers"he will use them all to bring down a server, such as corporate and business systems,
its a power thing to the hacker, and if he can bring down yahoo,he thinks he,s powerfull
just wait until i get my hands on him,i break his fingers, and he wont hack again
i agree in what you said,if we all complain it might wake yahoo up,it dosent matter if we pay for it or not,we are the customers, and without customers you dont have a business
complain tonight....then tommorow....and so on
good luck

Won`t make the slightest difference to Yahoo. You really think they`ll listen.
I just hope they fix it soon. Monday is a busy day for me and I NEED my e-mail up and running, it`s cost me a small packet so far on my mobile-phone, ringing contacts to ask them to ring me rather than use e-mail.
Ohh happy days :-)
Are they getting the same problem in the States?

I agree jointly with your factors and do not disagree jointly with your frustration. yet there is an old declaring in existence....you get what you pay for. and obviously there'll be numerous call for for loose amenities on the information superhighway, so as it truly isn't any longer impressive that they get beaten by using the quantity on their servers because you, me, and tens of millions of alternative human beings are o.k. here at the same time. i wager in case you don't love it that a lot, you may take your employer elsewhere. Sorry to sound so pragmatic, however it fairly is the certainty of it.
