Do you women see that as a way to get through the hard days? Men view sports kinda like that, so I was just curious. Or perhaps shopping?

Coffeekitten13:

I think you may be reading a little bit too much into the question. It was not asked the vehemence, it is merely a harmless query.

It sounds like you may want to listen to some music or read today...

Being 13 years old, you truly do not know what I am referring to Coffeekitten. And believe me, I would not pick a fight just to do so. I hate to sound condescending, but until you are older you will have NO idea what i am referring to.

Sexist idiot. Woman can like sports as much as men do. A woman doesn't just shop, clean, cook and eat chocolate. For me, if I'm in a bad mood, I listen to music and read. And no, not pop and chick lit. Usually rock, alternative or metal with a good fantasy or historical fantasy. Sometimes, a science fiction with a little emo music can help too.

So learn to see things as they REALLY are. Because I can be condescending too. Please.

I know girls who are "stereotypical" girls, always shopping and gushing about boys and giggling, whose favorite colors are pink and whose heroes are Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. But dude, for every one of those girls, there are ten girls that are unique individuals.

So grow up. I thought humankind was beyond all this "woman are woman, men are men" crap, but apparently we're not. Guys do sports, girls do the mall, and that's that. Yeah, right!

So as I said before, get a life and a better view on the world. Everyone has a different way to "escape" and you shouldn't stereotype them by simply following the crowd. What about guys who don't like sports? Do you shun them too?

GROW UP, SOON!!!!!

IN REPLY TO YOUR REPLY: Hilarious. But no, I'm not in a bad mood, I'm just very passionate about thisv subject. I've had two many people laugh at me for being "such a tomboy" that I really am sick of it.

However, I understand your point. It's true that this COULD be considered an innocent question. However, me being a thirteen year old who dreams of anything but an average woman's life, I took offense when I saw how stereotypical this question is.

To each his (or her) own, I suppose.

Darlin', during that one special week each month, chocolate is a damn good substitute for sex. Guys don't have that problem. As I understand it, sports are an outlet for men's aggressive nature; tackle football, wresling, boxing, etc. But then, women are often more aggressive during their cycle, so maybe...
