For sure, "patriotism" is just a word they use to send naive boys to die in wars that make corporations richer. "Patriotims" is not different from "in the name of God". Both have been used by puppets polititians to torture, kill and exterminate people. Just remember that for those corporations "War" is more profitable than "peace".

Dont know if any has, but definitely they can. The resources and capital of some corporations easily surpass the GNI of many countries therefore they have the power. If you consider besides the latter that wars in general have economic reasons behind and corporations are in general bent on profit you have an inequality as a result where riches are transfered from many to few. This in turn causes economic inequalities. Then the question would be that it depends on how a corporation behaves. In the study of behaviour you face the result of studies made by psychologists who have studied corporations as "legal persons" and found in their studies that in general a corporation as such appears to have psychopatic traits. The issue if an action of war if ever started or to be started by a corporation can be dubbed patriotism is totally irrelevant. Then again you have corporations and corporations thus you cant say some could be bent on war for profit because there are corporations that are bent on exactly the opposite. In the end, as with all else, abstract bodies be them corporations or governments are ultimately run by people so it is really a matter of who are the people behind the power in a corporation or a government. History of course has taught us that some people can do great good and others can do great harm. The issue then would become if a corporation has the ability to screen and select its top people who really yield the power and weed out all those who would have psychotic traits.

yes, they can, and millions of people will swallow it hook, line, and sinker. whether it's for patriotism or profit it's just a stupid excuse to kill people and spread hatred, and I don't see why one reason is any better than the other. I don't know why people can't just say "let's go to war because hate is great" but that's the real reason behind almost any war and it seems to be the one thing nobody wants to admit. I suppose if the warmongers really admitted that then lots of people who like to think they themselves are good and righteous people would not want to get on board. but I have a feeling that in this century you will start to see governments and corporations urging people on to war in the name of the dollar and the bottom line.
