We should respect all paths to the Divine as valid and purposeful. I am Wiccan; my brother in law is pagan but does not abide the Rede. I see no wrong here, because if he does workings that harm, he will recieve his karmic kickbacks. I believe that all should love one another, because in the end, we are all of the Creator, and so we are brothers. The problem with the 'pillars of society' religions is that they deem their way the ONLY way, and that causes hatred and confusion. There will only be war and conflict until we come to this realization.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Blessed Be.

respecting other people should be the first thing on every one's mind. However, if anyone is trying to convince you to go to his religion. You should do some research about that religion and try to support your religion or....

I consider myself Christian, but I agree with Lauralanthalasa, as she has some excellent points. We are all brothers and sisters. Some people try to actively recruit members to their religion because they are trying to save them, and quite often it is done out of love. As annoying as those people are that come to my hose with those watchtower pamphlets, I try to understand that they are doing this because they believe it is the right thing to do. I do think that if all of the converter type people just focused on educating people about their religion, they would be using their their time much more wisely. I truly believe that we are all called to practice different religions, and that God is all about love and diversity. So I say respect and love your neighbor, no matter what religion they are, as that is what God is calling all of us to do. The more we learn about other religions the more we can understand and accept our differences. When someone is trying to convert me I just say I love you too, but I am quite content with my beliefs.

Yeah! Sometimes they even get me mad! Especially when they found out that I was previously Christian and now I become a Buddhist all of them are trying to bring me back in "the right way". That's really annoying!

People should not push a religion on anyone. I think people can decide for themselves what religion they want to be or enter into.

Yes , we need to respect other religion. We do not force other people to believe in our faith if they are not ready for it or they have already had one faith of their own.

You are right.. I'm a christian, and lots of people assume that's what christians do, but I'm like "Not all christian, geez".... Christians can be singled out when it comes to that. Of course if people ask me about Christianity, I tell them what they want to know, but I never judge them or force them saying they will go to hell or something. We are all human being living on this earth, wondering what is going on outside of this earth, but all we can do is guess based on each of our life's experiences and what it taught us, right?

I do think that we should. But just because people try to convince you doesn't mean
A) they are disrespecting you
B) that they think you are wrong

I think that if some one tries to convince you it is because they are trying to help you. I am catholic and I might try to convince a devil worshiper to be catholic so that they are not condemned to hell.

Yes I do. But people should be all about loving their religion...just not smothering other people with it.
