If you replace your strings often say 2-3 weeks and are looking for something that plays well in that time span then try Head Perfect Control, the string probably will not break in that time but the string is dead. It should run around about 25 in a club. Gamma's Tnt Fusion is a very playable string its about $29. Prince premier is our best selling string for control its only about 23. But if money is not an issue than Natural Gut is preferable over everything else. I hope this helps, when in doubt ask your local certified stringer.

Have it strung at a higher tension. If you haven't had to restring in a while then you've lost a lot of tension and you just won't get as much control with looser strings.

You migh want to try something like Prince TopSpin. It will help you to put more spin on the ball to keep it from flying long. Maybe try a 16 gauge, have it strung with 5 pounds more tension than you've been using, and you should be able to generate plenty of top spin to keep the ball in the court.

This string may not be as durable as whatever you've been using - but if you haven't had to restring frequently then your playing with strings that have lost a lot of tension (and control). So popping a string on a regular basis is not the worst thing in the world.

For control look for thicker strings with minimal tension loss. One extreme would be a kevlar hybrid like Ashaway Crossfire or Prince ProBlend. Another option the pro's like is a polyester string like Luxilon, Kirschbaum, Signum Pro or Topspin. Your last and least expensive option is a synthetic gut nylon, get a thick guage (15L) and string it tight.
