I have no idea who that is or whatever, lol, but some of the most common sharks as pets are Bala Sharks (they're silver and black), Red tailed sharks, and rainbow sharks.

Most "sharks" in the pet trade are actually more closely related to minnows, lol, but can still be agressive towards other fish. Most can also eat tropical fish flake and/or freeze-dried food, however they often (especially Balas) get very large so don't just buy one on impulse. You'll need a 30 gallon or larger tank for a bala, and probably a 20 gallon or larger for any other type.

Been a long time since I saw that show but I think they are black banded cat sharks. (yes these are real sharks in salt water tanks - not the freshwater "sharks") That is about the most common shark you see in tanks. Some times you will see the eggs for sale. Even these smaller sharks are not easy to keep - they need a minimum of 180 gallon tank (more like 300) and a heavy duty skimmer. Have to have fine sand for substrate and no decorations as the sharks can scratch themselves very easy.

But i have heard of people keeping them successfully - you just have to have a big investment in the tank and equipment and the time to take care of it. (I imagine Jesse has someone who comes in and does all the cleaning and maintenance. You could email him through his site and ask him - I hear is is very good about answering fan mail)
