how can i run Mame games?

Question

i dowloaded some roms and put them in the rom's folder and rescan to see available games sometimes they will be there but not all the times. and when i try load up the game it will take forever and after a while a black screen appears and nothing happens.

What MAME version are you running?

What Game(s) are you trying to play?
REMBER not all games are working and some games require other roms to operate.
Pluss other games require Chd files and some need cartrage roms like NEOGEO.rom for example.
