Being a history buff, that's really hard to say because there are tons of things that I really like. I'm going to say that my favorite era of the moment would have to be 19th century Europe and the Victorian culture because it seems so fascinating. Queen Victoria herself is an interesting character because of the life that she lived. I would have to say that Queen Vicky would be one of the under-appreciated historical figures because she managed to rule over a HUGE British empire and keep ruling it for slightly over 60 years.

IMHO, the most overrated historical figure is the fiendishly evil Adolf Hitler.

Pre-history (era), humanity(culture), evolution(historical event), everyone because they are undrescriable (persons to study), Jesus is one of the most over-rated, and pre-historic peoples are under appreciated, not to mention a lot of the people between then and today, not to mention the people of today. I do not know why we do not all appreciate each other, but I know I appreciate everyone I met (at least it seems so at the moment.)

i love the renaisance period because of the presence of people like da Vinci whose painting helped depthen the understaing of the human body by everyone...the eygptian culture is very intriguing to me because of their beliefs in many gods and goddess and the whole mummification and life after that concept...i think i would love to study me( not sure how) so that i can get a better understanding of me, ofcourse it means going back in time to a particular time and do that.....Galen is the most overated historical figure because he only deliverd a bunch of lies which apparently were taken as to be true fo more than a 1000 years...whereas Eristratus was never recognised for his work on the heart just beacuse he did not conform to certain standards that everyone else exhalted

Favorite era: pre-Columbian times around Nevada, home of my tribe.

Favorite culture: Greek, because of their thinkers...Aristotle, Socrated, Plato, etc.

Historical event: Pickett's charge, Friday, July 3, 1863: mass study of courage and doomed valor.

Person to study: Alexander: he conquered the known world.

Most over-rated: Jesus, obscure carpenter from Gallilee who established the zombie cult.

Most under-rate: Ghengis Khan: conquered more territory than Hitler, roman empire and alexander the great combined.
