It depends on what kind and age.
A baby pygmy isn't going to eat nearly as much as an adult doe milking heavy. A pet won't have the nutritional needs of a production animal.

GENERALLY speaking for the average goat.
You can figure about 10 to 15 pounds of hay per day...if not production or growing grass hay is fine. Whatever that runs in your area.

Grain - for pet you don't *need* grain. You can feed a cup or so per day as a treat - a 10-12% livestock grain/pellet in this area (AL) is about $5-6 and will last most of a month

Wormer - a tube per year is plenty $10.
Water.
any brush or grazing will be enjoyed.

A pygmy or nigerian would eat less than this. A milking doe or growing meat goat will take more and will take a higher level of hay and grain.

**generally** you can expect $30-40/month costs on a goat if you have your own place and not including fencing or equipment.

About $64.57 per month on average, vet visits included, assuming the goat is in good health.

if you have pasture, it will cost much less then if you have to give it hay. if you have pasture and you want to give it grain, it should not be more than $10 a month. I reccomend a book called "barnyard in your backyard". it is a good book but somewhat expensive. around $30.

Probably depends on the size of your lawn, and how many months a year it is free of snow.
Enjoy the milk (if it is a female)
