It's been sporadic. Yahoo! Messenger didn't work yesterday. It works today. Often, scrolling and response to enter are slow! Either systems are being updated, or there is a BUG somewhere - maybe both!

If your computer just "suddenly" slowed down dramatically, and you're having problems communicating on the Internet, you should consider running an antivirus program and an anti-spyware/anti-adware program, as you may have caught a virus that is monopolizing your computer's resources or Internet bandwidth.

Alternatively, if you are running Windows XP you could use System Restore to restore your computer to a date when everything was working fine (like yesterday, or a few days ago) and that may just fix your problem.

Also, in general, it is good practice to keep track of the software you most recently installed, and try uninstalling it first to see if that corrects your problem.

Since Friday night, mine was acting strange...then Saturday, Messenger went out on it's own...Yahoo mail was also acting up. It wasn't until about 20 minutes ago that all is back to normal..Just let it be and it should get back to normal.

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!
