In reference to this quote from Yahoo News;

"Syria, one of Hezbollah's main backers, said it will press for a cease-fire to end the fighting ? but only in the framework of a broader Middle East peace initiative that would include the return of the Golan Heights. "

Why should we or anyone else press Israel for a cease fire? So Hezzbolah can reload its rockets from Syria and Iran for another day? So they can learn from the tactics imposed upon them by a stronger military? Why not encourage Israel to finish them off; it appears they may have them on the ropes now. I think they should - what say you?

Finishing it once and for all would involve nuclear weapons emasculating Syria and Iran in a way comparable to Imperial Japan.

Most people have forgotten how ruthless and Cruel Japan used to be. Now they are a decent culture in the world community.

Perhaps a lesson of history is in order...

Maybe (and sadly) overwhelming force is the only thing some people understand.

I honestly think that it is the leadership of these countries that is the problem. If the people there had more say, I am certain there would be peace.

War is not a solution nor aggression otherwise Hitler wud have conquered whole world or Jews wud have suppressed helpless Palestinian,the only solution to middle east crises to address the root cause that is to check the aggressive attitude of Israel and places sud be return to those states whose territory were taken during 1967 war by them.Go ahead start killing them and world will be full of Hezbollah's,like now they are gaining popularity,Muslim world will become living hell for non Muslims and i am sure nobody wants this kind of situation.

Because they're not fighting the fight for freedom. This is just another Israeli "landgrab" look at the oppresion the Jews have forced the Palestinians to live with since the creation of the "physical Israel". The existance of Israel is an offense to our Christian God as well as the Muslim Allah.

Ya ever wonder why we're getting blasted with so many "natural disasters" lately? God is angry with America.

Remember, the English used to refered to George Washington and our founding fathers as "terrorists".

Dude your crazy, all America does is back Israel, Hezbollah are terrorists and need to be stopped yes, but Hello! Israel kills innocent people too. I'm Canadian and a whole family of Canadian visiting Lebanon was killed by Israel strikes, little kids, not terrorists. I don't care who backs your president or lines his pockets, Israel is not some innocent victim in all of this.

How would Isreal do that? Really, whats your plan of action?
I heard it said on the newscasts that it would be impossible to root out Hezbollah in Lebanon. Is it, that no matter what, since Isreal is on Gods side and our side, they are always right? Im not saying that they are wrong in this current situation, but come on, ALWAYS?

The only way Israel could end this is by moving the country and that will not happen. It is up to the Arab nations to accept Israel and condem terrorism.

How do you know that Israel is "right"?

By the same token, I say let Hezbollah take care of Israel and end it.
