Actually the US imposed unilateral sanctions against Iran in 1980

"In April 1980, President Carter issued Executive Order 12205, instituting an embargo on US exports to Iran (including restrictions on financial transactions) and Executive Order 12211, imposing a ban on all imports from Iran and prohibiting US citizens from traveling to Iran or conducting financial transactions there. "

since the sanctions have growned ten fold. The US sells no products to Iran, neither Iran nor Iranians can boycott United Statesian products.

Iran will have to quit buying from China because most product made in China is American. The USA is too large for them to avoid.

Most of the stuff you hear from the middle east is just a little kid having a temper tantrum. We are talking about people who want to rule the world and they are not getting their way. They would stand a better chance of having a little say so in matters if they would get with flow of things and quit trying to swim up stream. You always move faster if you are in the main stream of things not trying to cross lanes in in bumper to bumper trafic. If you try you will crash into someone and the fight is on.

That would assume the people their have resources for which to buy our products; a boycott means nothing unless there is a market that can do the boycotting.

LOL
How could Iran boycott US products when the US has made it illegal to export US products to Iran for the past 25 years!!!!????

What are they going to boycott? Illegal copies of Microsoft Windows??? (which are everywhere in Iran, but since MS can't sell there, they can't do much about it can they?)

The USA government does NOT ALLOW U.S. companies to do business in Iran, and hasn't for decades. They already do just fine without US products.

If Iran is boycotting it is the older anti-american generation. The younger generations hate their government and want to re-live their past glory. There were protest and riots months ago.

There is hope for Iran.

That must be the biggest lie. Just walk on the streets of Tehran and you'll find everything from Gillette to HP. Marlboro, Coca Cola...
But Americans can't afford Iranian carpets, caviars, cats, ...

Seems silly. Why doesn't the USA boycott Iran and stop hiring "iranians" in programming jobs. Now... hmmmmm something we (USA) should think about.
