Hello? You're BLACK?
I IN NO WAY MEAN DISRESPECT! EVER! Its just that growing up in Arkansas and the south has taught me that to most people here, the words "all men are created equal" only applies to "white, straight, christian men" not even the women are to have this applied to them, much less african-americans. I'm not saying Arkansas hasn't made TREMENDOUS progress, especially in its larger cities, it has, I promise you!!! But, I come from a town of 3,000 and we had our first Black Graduate this year (it made Front Page, which I thought was nice of them). Until I graduated High School, I didn't know African Americans even LIVED in Arkansas, seriously. I just never saw any. So, while we have made progress, there are still many gains to be had, some of this is of course due to the fact, that we are not "a choice place to live."
Good luck man, I hope you can be accepted for the good person that you are and not just a skin color!

(43 is still my favorite number, has been for more than 40 years).
No blacks?
Alan Keyes (I voted for him in the 2000 primaries)
Colin Powell
Condi Rice (I might vote for her in 2008 primaries, even if she doesn't run)
J C Watts (He might make a good VP candidate)
Lynn Swann
There are others who don't come to mind at the moment, but don't have the high profile of these people.
I'm not sure why you were snubbed. It's not like any Republican macher (that's with a hard 'ch' like German. It's Yiddish and mean 'doer' or 'big wheel'), I know from around here.

Well there was your first mistake. John McCain is a self server and acts more like a Dem anyway. I respect his military service, but he pulled some real hair-brained stuff.
Anyway maybe you expect too muchas a constituent. Politicians kissing butt is pure flattery and they use it for your vote. Support the people and party who support and advance your convictions. Don't worry so much about who's ego they do or do not stroke. That part is all vanity anyway. What you ought do is run yorself, beat them at their own game and look'em in the eye and explain why you are firing them.

Now you learned a valuable lesson. Colin Powell and JC Watts had to learn that lesson the hard way. Republican party is the new party of wealth biggoted whites, and the only time they want to be seen with you and talk to you is during election time.
