I dont think it is one of the Richest countrys. The only good thing that came out of Ireland is Guinness.

Ireland invested heavily in the high tech sector and it paid off handsomely. "The Celtic Tiger" is what they call the strong economy and the dominance in high tech programming and manufacture. The Irish are a well educated and ambitious lot and prosperity has suited them well!

Well we have had some great leaders who were not corrupt and actually helped our nation to remain ecconomically sound.
